You will need to email us at info@rents.co.uk on or by your rent payment date giving one months’ notice to vacate. We will confirm receipt of this by letter and inform your landlord who may wish to re let. We will discuss carrying out potential viewings with you.
You will be advised by letter the end of tenancy date and what you will need to do. Usually you will be required to hand your keys back into our offices by 12pm on your tenancy end date along with providing us with your forwarding address, photos of all meter readings along with supplier details and bank details for your deposit return. We will then visit the property to carry out our check out report and advise you by email if there is anything further that needs doing.
We will send you a letter advising what you need to do but it is important to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition. You may wish to look through the Ingoing Inventory that you were given at the beginning of the tenancy and ensure you are leaving it in the same or similar condition to this.
The deductions we make from the deposit are usually for additional cleaning where the property has not been cleaned to a good standard or damage that has not been repaired to an acceptable level.
We understand that circumstances change and if you decide you wish to stay you will need to contact us as soon as possible after giving notice. If the landlord is happy for you to remain then we can revoke your notice and you may continue with your tenancy.
If you have any concerns about anything or have questions that we may not have covered please do not hesitate to contact us on 01473 225268 or drop us an email info@rents.co.uk
